On March 3, Suzhou Institute of Technology and Asahi Chemical held a grand signing and plaque-awarding ceremony for their employment internship base at their Taicang headquarters. Attendees included Wang Ren, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Suzhou Institute of Technology; Yang Gang, Dean of the School of Materials Engineering; Liu Xiangyu, Deputy Director of the Taicang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau; as well as Asahi Chemical Vice Presidents Sun Hongjun and Zhang Weidong, along with Human Resources Director Song Yingfeng. The event brought together leaders to discuss new strategies for industry-education integration and jointly chart a shared future for university-enterprise collaboration.
 
Prior to the official commencement of the ceremony, the Suzhou Institute of Technology delegation first visited the Xuchuan Enterprise Exhibition Hall, gaining an in-depth understanding of the company's historical development, core R&D technologies, and industrial layout. During the symposium, Sun Hongjun, Vice President of Xuchuan Chemical, extended a warm welcome to the university delegation and expressed hope for deeper collaboration between the institution and the enterprise in areas such as joint talent cultivation and tackling key technological challenges. Vice President Zhang Weidong provided a detailed explanation of the company's future development strategy and its talent recruitment and training requirements. Liu Xiangyu, Deputy Director of the Taicang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, elaborated on local policies supporting characteristic industries and talent attraction initiatives, emphasizing the bureau's commitment to further advancing industry-education integration. Wang Ren, Vice President of Suzhou Institute of Technology, outlined the university's educational mission, distinctive features, and achievements in cultivating applied talents, while Yang Gang, Dean of the School of Materials Engineering, shared the school's strengths in program development and its practical experience in previous industry-academia collaborations.
 
In the presence of attending guests, the university and enterprise officially signed the cooperation agreement for employment and internship bases and completed the plaque presentation ceremony. This signing marks the formal entry of their collaboration into a phase of sustained and substantive advancement. Moving forward, both parties will jointly develop talent cultivation plans, establish distinctive curriculum systems, build integrated internship and training platforms, and provide collaborative guidance for graduate projects, working together to create a benchmark model for industry-education integration that will empower and drive high-quality development of the regional industrial economy.
 
As the event concluded, all attending leaders and guests took a group photo in the corporate hall, capturing this significant moment of university-industry collaboration. The signing and plaque-awarding ceremony concluded successfully, not only providing Suzhou Institute of Technology students with high-quality internship and employment opportunities as well as a platform for practical growth, but also equipping Xuchuan Chemical with top-tier talent and fostering innovative development momentum, thereby achieving resource sharing and mutual benefit between the university and the enterprise.
